Tango for Parkinson’s 2023
@ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Join Rina Sawaya, a professional tango dancer and teacher from Melbourne, who specialises in Tango for Parkinson’s classes.
Improve your balance, walking and confidence.
Classes are relaxed and social, working with one’s own natural body movement, working on coordination and moving with music.
Designed by Rina and used in various research studies, Rina continues to evolve her classes and experience so that these classes can contribute to the health and well-being of participants. Come and try out tango!
Some feedback from current and past participants include:
- Improved my balance, gait and confidence in daily movements
- You can get a surprising amount of exercise without realising it and without forcing yourself to exercise
- The whole experience can take us out of our everyday life and gives us a chance to forget about our problems.
