PingPongParkinson®
Exercise, Connection and Confidence Through Table Tennis
Looking for a fun, engaging way to stay active while living with Parkinson’s?
PingPongParkinson® (PPP) is an international movement that uses table tennis to help people living with Parkinson’s improve movement, confidence and wellbeing. More than just a game, PingPongParkinson brings together physical exercise, mental stimulation and social connection in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Research and participant experiences suggest that regular table tennis can help improve:
- Balance and coordination
- Hand-eye coordination
- Agility and reaction time
- Fine and gross motor skills
- Concentration and mental focus
- Confidence and overall quality of life
- Social connection and emotional wellbeing
Many participants describe PingPongParkinson as “life-changing”, saying it brings back smiles, laughter and a renewed sense of energy. Some even refer to it as “medicine without the side effects.”
Why table tennis?
Table tennis is uniquely suited to people living with Parkinson’s because it combines:
- Dynamic balance
- Hand-eye coordination
- Fast decision making
- Rhythm and timing
- Cognitive challenge
- Physical movement
- Social interaction
Exercise is one of the best treatments for Parkinson’s
Regular exercise is recognised as one of the most effective ways to manage Parkinson’s symptoms. Alongside medication, staying physically active can help maintain mobility, strength, balance and independence while supporting mental wellbeing.
PingPongParkinson is an enjoyable way to incorporate these important elements into your weekly routine, making exercise something people look forward to rather than a chore.
