Unity Walk New Farm Park
Step Up for People With Parkinson’s
10am Sunday, 8th September 2013, New Farm Park, New Farm
Hosted by Parkinson’s Queensland and now in its 5th year, this is our largest annual event designed for people of all ages. The event is a fun way for family, friends, loved ones and supporters to make a difference in the lives of people living with Parkinson’s.
People from all walks of life will be raising awareness about Parkinson’s and raising funds to help support, honour and remember people living with the condition.
Show your support by walking on behalf of someone living with Parkinson’s or remember them by wearing a Parkinson’s Queensland 2013 Unity Walk ‘Honour Card’ with your loved one’s name, photo and a message.
Make this THE event for your yearly family reunion or friends’ get-together!
Why fundraise? How will the funds raised be used?
All monies raised will go towards providing vital support services for people living with Parkinson’s, their family carers and loved ones. It will also be used to fund ongoing research into the Parkinson’s condition. Parkinson’s QLD relies heavily on the generosity of donors and volunteers for our day-to-day client services and operations.
The level of support that Parkinson’s QLD can offer people with Parkinson’s and their families very much depends on our Walk participants actively fundraising.
