Webinar: New PD Study, Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance’ (CO-OP)
June 24 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Occupational Therapist and PhD Candidate Sarah Davies will share details about an exciting new Parkinson’s research project evaluating a new approach to improving daily living for people impacted by Parkinson’s Disease.
The study aims to investigate whether adults with Parkinson’s disease can benefit from an intervention called Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP). Possible benefits may include increased personal goal achievement; improved quality of life and confidence in daily living activities; and reduced experiences of cognitive symptoms such as disorganisation or forgetfulness. This study will be the first to evaluate the benefit of a CO-OP treatment approach for adults with Parkinson’s disease.
This study is looking for adults with Parkinson’s Disease who live in greater Brisbane, are independent, have internet access, and are happy for home visits.
