Annette will be covering current research projects at PA Hospital including:
Essential Tremor Trial – Calcium channel blocker
A new Dopamine Agonist for Parkinson’s patients with new diagnosis and advance Parkinson patients with motor fluctuations.
Also has an open label follow on study Constipation in Parkinson’s Disease – trial of a prebiotic
Post Market Registry Trial for Deep Brain Stimulation Patients
Observational study on burden of care in Parkinson’s patients
Annette Denny- Registered Nurse
Annette has been working with Parkinson’s patients for 8 years.
She initially worked in the community with Advanced therapies in Parkinson’s Disease – Apomorphine Infusions
Annette currently has a combined role as a Research Nurse/Clinical Trials Co-ordinator and Clinical Nurse in the Movement Disorders Clinic at PA Hospital
She began working with Neurologist Dr Alex Lehn co-ordinating his research projects 3 years ago. Dr Lehn runs the Deep Brain Stimulation program at the PA with Dr Sarah Olson (Neurosurgeon) and conducts a wide variety of Research Projects including Sponsored Clinical Trials and Investigator Lead trails. Some of his recent trials include Levodopa Nasal Spray trial and Essential Tremor Trial.
