Moonlight Tango Winter Festival – 23rd – 30th July 2023, Brisbane City Hall

Last year, Moonlight Tango organised the very first Brisbane Tango Festival, which was a huge success. This year, they are planning a bigger and better festival and once again, Parkinson’s Queensland is thrilled to be the event’s charity partner.

The festival will pack more than 60 hours of cultural entertainment across 8 landmark venues in Brisbane and can be enjoyed by all ages. There will be plenty of entertainment and activities you can enjoy with friends and family such as; the tango music concerts, dance performances, musicality workshops, live music and four gala milongas. You can even learn some new moves in the tango workshops being delivered by 4 internationally renowned tango teaching couples that are set to enthrall and delight.

The benefits of dance for people affected by Parkinson’s is well known, and tango is amongst the most beneficial forms of dance. Moonlight Tango are generously donating all proceeds from the festival to Parkinson’s Queensland to enable us to expand our support to regional Queensland.
